A sign in a store window reignited a little-known law not allowing stores to have signage that they sell firearms in the state of California. This law was passed in 1923 and is barely enforced. In September 2014, a state agent visited a store in Tracy, California that had signage stating that they sold handguns. The agent enforced the law and the trial is to begin in early 2017.
