An LA talent manager is facing charges of swindling an aspiring singer and her family out of $100,000. City attorneys allege the manager charged the aspiring singer monthly management fees and additional charges for third party services which violated the Talent Scam Prevention Act that bars talent agents and managers from charging advance fees in exchange for preferential treatment.
